LE BAR WELCOMES RENOWNED JAZZ GUITARIST BOBBY BROOM
The North American flagship, Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, joins every Sofitel address as a music ambassador on June 21, 2010. The Music Celebration, Fête de la Musique, was born in France in 1982, and has since taken place every June 21, the first day of summer in the northern hemisphere. It soon traveled abroad and has become a uniting international highlight. Therefore, it was natural for Sofitel – a French name on the international hotel scene – to take part in this major cultural milestone around the world.
Located at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, street-level Le Bar will play host to Sofitel’s Fête de la Musique on June 21, 2010. In honor of this melodious celebration, Le Bar will feature celebrated jazz guitarist, Bobby Broom. “Bobby Broom is one of the most harmonically daring guitarists recording today,” wrote André Avelino in Down Beat. “His style is personal and identifiable, yet with no gimmicks or gadgets—just pure guitar.” Specialty cocktails, wine, Champagne, beer, bottle service, and appetizers will be available from Le Bar’s menu.
